About the artist
I take pleasure in reimagining old torn books. Gluing the fragile pages together to create a firm substrate to receive the paint and paper I place on each layout. My love for art and need to create began when i was a child, shaping mud into vessels. I was fortunate to have an art class when I was in grade school. I made a tree from cardboard pieces that I cut to resemble bark and glued each piece on the tree. My art teacher was impressed and saw potential in me and encouraged me to continue creating. I did for years until tragedy struck. After that I was dormant for a few years, but when I emerged from that dark place, I created in a whole new way. different but better.
Crown Creations was born from a love of forgotten stories, layered textures, and transforming old books into one- of-a-kind works of art.
Each piece is handcrafted using mixed media techniques , vintage elements, paint, stencil work, and found objects— creating art meant to be explored slowly, detail by detail.
